Eight Weeks and Thank you

Today is the eight week mark since John's stroke. On one hand it's hard to believe eight weeks is already over and conversely it's hard to believe that has only been eight weeks. At the start of this experience everything happened very rapidly. Over the intervening weeks, as the initial danger passed, things slowed down to a more manageable pace. Through help of a network of friends and relatives many tasks were accomplished. We appreciate everyone who lent a hand. I know it won't be the last time assistance will be needed. You are all good people and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. If we can assist you in any way please call on us.

John is still continuing to improve. The changes are different now, there aren't as many drastic "oh wow that is a new skill" type changes as has been in previous weeks. It has been more of tweaking of the skills he has regained. John is able to get around quite well on his own, he has learned to adapt quickly. John is increasingly more interested in being more involved in the day to day tasks of running the house / life. I see this as another positive step in his recovery. Please continue to pray that his recovery continues to improve and that we can discern the things we need to do going forward.

Thank you,

The Brooks and Sweigart Families.
